The Ghana Education Service (GES) has notified all Regional Directors of Education of the postponement of the school reopening date for first grade students.
The students were scheduled to return home on September 18, 2023, but were asked to return on September 25 instead.
This is contained in a statement signed by Prince Agyeman-Dua, Acting Director General for School Education, GES.

“The management of the Ghana Education Authority wishes to inform all principals of secondary and tertiary technical schools that the resumption date for Form 1 students has been changed to 25 September 2023.” Part of the statement includes:
“This letter requires local superintendents to communicate this information to all principals of secondary and technical schools and to notify parents and students to be aware of the new date and prepare accordingly. ” the note adds.
