The protest follows the disappointing performance of the Ghanaian national football team, the Black Stars, at the recently concluded AFCON 2023 tournament in Ivory Coast.

The protest, organized by a group of experienced sports journalists, aims to revive the power of Ghanaian football, by putting pressure on the Ghana Football Federation (GFA) and the Ministry of Youth and Sports to remove key players from the structure of Ghanaian football in order to identify. implement reforms.

The protest will start in Obraspot, with participants marching through the main streets of Accra, ending at Independence Square.

At this final destination, a petition outlining demands for reforms in Ghanaian football will be presented to representatives of the GFA, the Ministry of Sports, Parliament and the Office of the President.

In this regard, the President of the Ghana Football Federation, Kurt Okraku, has disclosed that Ghana is aiming to win the Football World Cup and AFCON.

Okraku addressed the media in Kumasi on the poor performance of the Black Stars in the ongoing Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) 2023.

The senior national team planned to win their fifth continental title, but they finished in third place with two points and were again eliminated in the group stage. Despite the backlash, Okraku said he was fully committed to ensuring the Black Stars win the AFCON and Mundial under his patronage as GFA president.
